Japanese source Mac Fan claims that Apple will release a new iPad in the first half of 2015. The new device will have an enormous 12.2-inch display.
Some specs were revealed as well. The tablet will feature with the new A9 processor and 4 speakers (two at the bottom and two at the top). The speakers will provide stereophonic sound, regardless of its spacial position.
Currently Apple’s iPad product line includes Apple iPad Air, Air iPad 2, iPad mini, iPad Mini 2 and iPad mini 3.
iPad Air 2 has a 9.7-inch Retina display (2048 x 1536 px resolution), iPad Mini 3 has a 7.9-inch Retina display (2048 x 1536 px resolution as well).
The first generation of iPad Air was introduced in October 2013, and its predecessor iPad 4 – in October 2012. iPad Mini 2 was introduced in October 2013. Till now all devices have been updated once a year during fall. It appears that the largest mobile industry players, including Apple, are going to update their product line more often now, and we may see a lot of new devices during the first half of the next year.
